Born on March 30th 1968 in Charlemange, Quebec, Céline Dion was the youngest of 14 siblings. At the age of 14 she met her future manager and husband René Angélil, who was fascinated by Céline’s voice and helped her to release her first single Ce n'était qu'un rêve (It was only a dream).
At the age of 20, Céline Dion had already published 14 albums, mainly in French. In 1990 she decided to record her first English album Unison, to get more attention in the USA and around the world. Her second English album Cèline Dion, including The Beauty and The Beast, the title song of the correspondent movie, sold more than five million times. Céline manages to wow her audience with her ultra-soft voice that covers up to five octaves. Her next albums, starting with The Colour of My Love bringing her first success in Germany in 1993, leading to Falling Into You (1996), Let’s Talk About Love (1997) and Loved Me Back To Life (2013) all were quite successful around the globe.
Céline Dion did not just publish 26 studio albums over the span of 35 years, but she also managed to release nine live-albums, 17 compilations and 70 singles. She sold more than 250 million sound-carriers, making her one of the most successful artists in this category. She won the Silver disc record 12 times, the Golden disc record 157 times, the Platinum one 519 times and the Diamond disc record she won 28 times. Her estimated net worth totals an astonishing $800 million.
On September 18th 2019, Céline will start her new Courage tour, the fourteenth concert tour of Dion’s career, bringing her new album, which is set to be released in autumn of 2019, to 53 cities around North America and Canada. Ticket prices, that vary from 48€ to 333€, are one more reason to visit a concert of the Canadian superstar with the angel-like voice and an amazing gift for her supporters.
