About Green Day

The band celebrated their first success under the name Sweet Children as a punk band in Berkeley, California. In 1989, the band was renamed Green Day just before the EP 1000 Hours was released. Reprise Records, a sub-label of major label Warner, signed the band and it also caught attention outside the indie music scene. The album "American Idiot" propelled up the charts to number one and brought international successes to the band. "Wake Me Up When September Ends" is still one of the band's most successful hits and must not be missed on any Green Day concert. Green Day is a band that is absolutely popular as a so-called festival band, because they always fire up the atmosphere. But also on their live concert tours, the guys from Green Day always cause a sensation and inspire with old and new hits. 12 successful studio albums, live albums, best of albums, countless awards and the enthusiasm of the fans absolutely confirm the concept of the band which always remains true to itself and its style.
