Facts about Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga, born on March 2th 1986 in New York as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, is an US-American singer, songwriter and actress. Her style of music is affected by world-famous David Bowie, Queen, Michael Jackson and Madonna and is best described as a mixture of ’80s pop and ‘90s Europop.
Lady Gaga, whose name is just an error made by her producer, who wanted to write Radio Gaga, but his autocorrect changed it to Lady Gaga, started playing the piano in an early age.  Born as the kid of Italian-American parents, she visited the Catholic School Convent of the Sacred Heart. When in High school, she attended the musical course and played the main character in different stage plays.
When she was 17 she started her music studies at the Tisch School of the Arts at the New York University, which she gave up in the fourth semester to completely concentrate on her career as a professional singer. She was signed by Def Jam Recordings but the contract was declined after just three months.
Gaga, who loves to shock with garish outfits and performances, published her first album "The Fame" in 2008 and it was an immediate success. It reached 1st place in multiple national Single Charts, as in Germany, the UK and Austria, 2nd place in the US and was sold more than 15 million times, winning multiple prizes. The first single releases "Just Dance" and "Pokerface" also turned out to be blockbusters being sold around 10 million times each.
Her first headliner tour was “The Fame Ball Tour” in 2009, followed by “The Monster Ball Tour”, containing approximately 200 concerts.
Lady Gaga also holds more impressive records, for example being the first solo artist since Ruby Murray in 1955, having four songs in the UK Top 20 charts at the same time, namely "Born This Way", "Judas", "The Edge of Glory" and "Hair". Also all of her songs have been watched by her fans on YouTube for more than 1 billion times, an accomplishment no other artist had achieved before her.
In August 2017, Lady Gaga announced that she started the work for her sixth studio album. She recorded songs with Boys Noize, DJ White Shadow and BloodPop, artists she worked with before.
Since then she concentrated mainly on her stage career appearing in Bradley Cooper’s remake "A Star is Born" as a main character, which debuted on October 4th 2018. Gaga also sung part of the soundtrack and was later awarded with an Oscar for it.
Two shows starring Lady Gaga started in 2018 in Las Vegas. In Enigma she performs her pop songs, in Jazz & Piano she mainly concentrates on acoustic versions and jazz-titles.
When you combine her style of music, fashion, art and technology, Lady Gaga reminds the audience of the young Madonna, being blessed with a strong voice and sparkling beats on her songs.
