Usher facts

Usher’s career began when he was 13 years old and participated in a casting show and was discovered by an agent from LaFace Records where he was signed a short time later.
In 1993 he released his first single “Call Me A Mack” for the Film “Poetic Justice”. His self-titled debut album only achieved moderate success.
The tide began to turn with Usher’s second album “My Way” which was released in 1997. The song “You Make Me Wanna” topped the British charts and “Nice & Slow” even landed on the first place in the US. This success sustained when the singles “U Remind Me” and “U Got It Bad” from Usher’s third album “8701” took the first place again in the US charts in 2001. This outstanding performance won him two Grammy Awards in the following two years.
Usher’s single “Yeah!” which he recorded together with Ludacris and Lil Jon, was a global success and stayed on the top of the US charts for 12 weeks making it the singer’s most successful song until now.
For his album “Confessions”, Usher’s most popular album ever, he was honoured with more than ten awards.
For his work in the following years he teamed up with numerous artists including Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, Jay Z and Justin Bieber.
In 2016, Usher received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
This year, Usher and Naughty By Nature will headline Australia’s biggest RnB Party. Check out the lineup for 2018 here:
