2020 Asia and Australia tours and concerts cancelled or postponed due to corona virus

As the new corona virus continues to spread around the world, several countries have already cancelled major cultural events in order to prevent new cases of COVID-19. In this article we have listed all major concerts and tours in Asia and Australia which have been cancelled or postponed due to the corona virus.

Since the outbreak of the new virus SARS-CoV-2 several countries, mainly in Asia and Europe, have restricted entries for travelers for the next weeks or months. This means, that some of our beloved artists are not able to perform their planned March / April shows in some countries. We have collected the most important ones in Asia here:

Cancelled or postponed concerts in Asia and Australia 2020:



Slipknot, Korn, Marilyn Manson, Babymetal and Anthrax have postponed their famous Knotfest in Japan. An alternative date has not yet been announced.
Lacuna Coil cancelled their South East Asia tour in March. The metal band Whitesnake also cancelled their upcoming Japan tour dates. Trivium’s shows in Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia won’t take place at the moment. It is unclear if there will be alternative dates.


The k-pop mega stars BTS cancelled their tour through Korea. Tickets for the Korean shows can be refunded. BTS’ world tour will now start in the US.

Hip-Hop / R&B:

Stormzy postponed his tour through Japan, China and Korea for an indefinite time. R&B star Khalid cancelled his shows in Japan, Singapore and Korea for 2020.

Rock / Pop:

Green Day announced that they will postpone their shows in Thailand, the Philippines, Korea and Japan. Alternative dates will be announced soon. Their current tour will resume in Moscow. Avril Lavigne won’t play her planned concerts of her current Head Above Water World Tour in China, Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
The National also cancelled their concerts in Japan but already bought tickets will be refunded. Jimmy Eat World also had to cancel their Singapore and Philippines tour due to health reasons. The Swedish pop group A-ha postponed their Japan and Singapore concerts. They will announce new dates of their Hunting High And Low tour for those two countries. The Japanese leg of My Chemical Romance’s comeback tour also had to be postponed. The band will announce new dates soon.  



Lacuna Coil cancelled their performance at the Australian Download Festival in both Melbourne and Sydney.


Miley Cyrus will not perform at the World Tour Bushfire Relief charity concert in Melbourne this March.
