Florence and the Machine will play a show in Rotterdam in March 2019. This most likely will be the first of a series of European shows, which are part of their latest 2019 World Tour. A few day ago they have announced their return to Australia and New Zealand, where they will be supported on their January 2019 tour by Billie Eilish and NZ singer-songwriter Marlon Williams at some select shows.

The title for their new album "High As Hope" comes from a poem Florence Welch wrote about a beautiful day wandering around in New York City with a close friend of her. She called it, “New York Poem (for Polly)”. The peom's last line became the title of the fourth Florence and the Machine album:

"Heady with pagan worship
of water towers
fire escapes, ever reaching
high as hope."

This is Florence and the Machine’s first album since 2013. "How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful" back then produced the band’s third consecutive #1 on the UK charts.
