All Christmas markets in Glasgow 2019 - all dates, news and highlights

The fabulous and spectacular Christmas Markets are coming back to town as happening every year. If you should plan to visit Glasgow in late November or December than one thing is absolutely for sure – you need to comer over to one of the Christmas Markets in town to experience the extraordinary Winter Wonderland. The Christmas anticipation begins at the latest when you are at the Christmas Market – without any doubt!

The St Enoch Square Christmas Market

What would be Christmas in Glasgow without the Winter-Magic of the St Enoch Square Christmas Market? You will find there everything you need to get into the Christmas Spirit. Around 50 seasonal chalets, which are most of the time all decked out like German huts, are waiting for you. The German touch of the Market doesn’t end when it comes to the look of the huts. Its better to come hungry to the Christmas Market otherwise you will miss the chance to try all the good food which is just waiting for you.

Look forward to some crispy duck rotisserie, crepes, hog roast, bratwurst and much more. There are even a couple German bars on the Christmas Market. Can’t wait to get a fresh good tasting ice cold beer? Come over to the St Enoch Square Christmas Market to get your Christmas cheer on.

Between Monday and Wednesday, the Christmas Market will be open from 10am till 9pm. On all the other days the Christmas Market will be open from 10am till 10pm. Don’t forget to come to the Christmas Market if you should be in town between the 9th of November and 23rd of December.

The George Square Christmas Market

If you should decide to visit the George Square Christmas Market this year you don’t need to worry about not finding it because the 15 metre Christmas tree will lead you directly to the stunning Market.

There will be about 50 traders from all over the world at the Market and you got the chance to buy some artisan products and impressive crafts. Meet Santa every day at the advent calendar and watch him when he says “Hi” to all the kids as they’re waiting for him to get some treats.  

You will find some German bars at the George Christmas Market as well and they will offer some of the best traditional beers over there. The traditional German “Glühwein” should not be missed while you enjoy the unique atmosphere.

The Christmas Market at George Square takes place between the 25th of November and the 31st of December. Between Monday and Wednesday, it’ll be open from 10am till 9pm and between Thursday and Sunday from 10am till 10pm.
