Summer time is festival time! The UK is famous for its legendary music festivals like the Glastonbury Festival that is known all over the world. But also Reading and Leeds Festival has grown into one of the most important festivals in the UK. This year it will take place from 23th until 25th August. Below you will find the line-up for this year.

About the Reading and Leeds Festival

The Reading and Leeds Festivals are two music festivals that take place at the same time in the UK but at two different places. Reading Festival, the older one of the two festivals, is held at Little John’s Farm on Richfield Avenue in Reading while Leeds Festival takes place in Bramham Park near Wetherby.
Founded in 1955, Reading Festival is the world’s oldest pop music festival that is still active. In its history you could dance to the UK’s most famous and popular rock and pop musicians like The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Deep Purple, The Who, Iron Maiden, Muse, RadioheadArctic Monkeys and many many more. But also International superstars already played at Rerading festival including Iggy Pop, AC/DC, Eminem, MetallicaGreen Day or My Chemical Romance. Nowadays the festivals host every genre possible, from rock and pop to hip hop and dance thought rock, indie and metal remain the most prominent ones.
Since 1999 he two-site format with Leeds Festival was adopted. Since then the festivals have been sharing their line-up with each other.

2019 Line-up

You probably have already guessed it: this year the line-up for the Reading and Leeds Festival is as good as the previous years if not better. On 9 stages everyone will get exactly what they want. Headliners will be The 1975, Post MaloneTwenty One Pilots and Foo Fighters.
Furthermore, you can get excited for A Day To Remember, Royal Blood, Blossoms, The Wombats, Anderson Paak, Frank Carter And The Rattlesnakes, Billie Eilish, Bastille, Chvrches, Mura Masa, Fredo and a looot more!

How to get there

Reading and Leeds Festival has teamed up with Big Green Bus in order to make your arrival as comfortable and environment friendly as possible. They will pick you up from one of their pick up locations so you don’t have to worry about anything else other than getting to the nearest pick up locations.
Of course you can also travel to the festival by train. From Reading train station you will have to walk 15-20 minutes to the festival site. The nearest station from Leeds Festival is Leeds train station. From there the festival shuttle bus will take you directly to the festival site in about 30 minutes.
