Shaggy to release new album and tour rumours - all about tickets, dates and more

Do you remember Shaggy? The singer of hits like „Boombastic“ and „It Wasn’t Me“ will be releasing his first solo album after six years named “Wah Gwaan?!”. Read the whole article to find out if and when Shaggy will go on tour, how to get tickets and more.

In November 2018 Shaggy already teased his fans with his brand new single “Use Me”. Now it is official: the dancehall and reggae star will release his first solo album in six years on 10 May 2019. The album called “Wah Gwaan?!” which is Jamaican and translates to something like “What’s up?” will include collaborations with a variety of different artists from all kinds of genres. Artists that will appear on the album include Nicky Jam, Jason DeRulo and many many more. In a statement it says the album will explore Shaggy’s “Jamaican roots, global reach, contagious joy and introspective side.”

Shaggy’s last solo album “Out of Many, One Music” was released in 2013. After that, he released the collaboration project “44/876” with mega star Sting last year. “44/876” has been nominated for Best Reggae Album at the Grammy Awards. Before the Grammys on 10 February 2019, Shaggy will host the premiere ceremony at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles which can be streamed live via the Grammys website.

The biggest question to answer now is: Will Shaggy go on tour in 2019?
