Spice Girls UK, Europe, US and Australia Tour 2019 - all about dates, tickets and more

The Spice Girls will reunite for a UK tour in 2019, including three dates at London’s Wembley Stadium. Rumors on more dates across the US and Europe and a cooperation with the Backstreet Boys are spreading. Read on for more facts about the tour and how to book tickets.

The Spice Girls announced that they will reunite for a 13-date UK tour in 2019 – alas, without Victoria Beckham aka Posh Spice. There are no official dates yet but the Spice Girls confirmed three shows at Wembley Stadium in London. The last time the band performed together was at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony.

Mel B, Geri Horner (former Halliwell), Emma Bunton and Mel C apparently won’t release new music in 2018 so the setlist will probably comprise the girls’ greatest hits and maybe one or two surprise songs. In 2016, Geri, Emma and Mel B recorded new music as a trio so maybe their songs will see the light of day at this reunion.

When thinking about a Spice Girls reunion tour 2019, however, the thought involuntarily comes to mind that it is likely that the Spice Girls will not only please their UK fans but will also perform in the rest of Europe, the US and Australia. They were last on world tour in 2007/2008 with their The Return of the Spice Girls tour. Back then they had 47 shows in cities like London, Manchester, Cologne, Madrid, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, New York, Boston, Las Vegas, Chicago, LA and many more. They also had planned, but then cancelled shows in Sydney, Cape Town, Buenos Aires, Bejing, and Hong Kong. This world tour has been a great success though. The first London show completely sold out within 38 seconds, which led to the announcement of 16 further shows in London's The O2 Arena. Until 2008 their world tour returned $107.2 million in ticket sales and merchandising.

In 2014 rumors about a joint Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys world tour sparked. According to MTV UK Mel C had teased they would consider a world tour in 2016 in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut single Wannabe, which had been released in 1996. The british news outlet The Sun back then claimed that Brian Littrell of the US boyband had confirmed discussions were underway for global tour dates. These rumours were fired again by a very enthusiastic Instagram post from AJ McLean 6 months ago containing two pictures - one with the Spice Grils and one with the Backstreet Boys

In March 2018 the band announced their plans for an animated Spice Girls reunion movie lending their voices to the production. This has been the first hint for the latest news on their 2019 reunion tour. In June Mel C appeared on the US TV show "The Today Show" confirming a Spice Girls reunion tour. Since then rumors in the US sparked on new Spice Girls US tour dates. As the girls are planning a world-wide reunion movie being produced in a Hollywood studio in the US, and have spread their news in a US TV show first - it is very likely from our point of view that we will see US tour dates for 2019 soon. And more across the planet.

These are all still rumours, but an official announcement about the shows’ dates and places will be made soon. So stay tuned and sign up for our exclusive ticket alert to be the first one to know:
