The countdown mystery is solved: On October 22 Swedish House Mafia finally announced their official reunion and revealed that the first show of their 2019 world tour will be at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden on Saturday, May 4 2019. Furthermore they confirmed that fans can look forward to brand new music of their favourite Swedish trio.
When they played at the Ultra Mexico Festival a few days ago, Steve Angello already teased the audience about an upcoming Mexico show by saying: “Mexico, I’ll see you next year with Swedish House Mafia.” More dates for shows in Europe, the UK, the US and many more places all over the world will be announced soon.
Tickets for the show in Stockholm on May 4 2019 will go on sale on Saturday, October 27 2018. You can sign up for the pre sale on Swedish House Mafia’s website.
Before the official announcement of the tour, fans were puzzled by a mysterious countdown on Swedish House Mafia’s website. In the morning of October 22 the countdown turned into a live stream where the band talked to their fans about their new music and tour plans in Swedish – which left their non-Swedish fans even more confused.
Rumours about a reunion of Swedish House Mafia already circulated this year when the Swedish trio played a show at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. It was the first show since they disbanded in 2013.
With mega hits like “One (Your Name)”, “Miami to Ibiza” and “Don’t You Worry Child”, their last song up to now, the Swedish superstars took the EDM world by storm.
